Satellite-based greenhouse gas monitoring is transitioning from government science programs to commercial infrastructure. The commercial driver: corporate Scope 1 emissions verification under SEC climate disclosure rules (if implemented) and EU CSRD will require third-party satellite verification for large emitters.
